早在五年前的 CES 2018 年上,Hyundai 發表了 e-Corner 技術,讓四個車輪可以多角度轉動,車子也因此可以橫行,後來的 CES 2021 上就展示了可行性概念機。今天這個技術更是透過 Hyundai Ioniq 5 電動車來示範,透露他們已經準備實裝到消費級車款之上。
在 Hyundai 的影片中看到,Ioniq 5 電動車的四個車輪在轉向後,車子不光能橫向移動,更妙的是還能原地自轉。如此一來,不管是角度多奇怪的 S 型倒車都能輕鬆完成吧。是說,同樣的四輪多角度轉向技術,在 Hummer 的電動車上也有看過,所以 Hyundai 也不是唯一的選擇。反而說在電動車的世代,車子除了動力來源之外,移動方向也有著全新的演繹。

負責開發這技術的 Hyundai Mobis 表示,他們正計劃在 2025 年開始讓這種功能實裝,所以大家不用等太久就能買到可以橫行的車了吧。
